The Star Golden Hearts Award was inaugurated in 2015 to celebrate Malaysians from all walks of life who have acted selflessly or heroically, built bridges between communities, and promoted racial harmony and unity.
This year, ten awards were presented to groups (such as social enterprises) and individuals who performed selfless deeds and heroic acts in 2018.
This awards programme is supported by Yayasan Gamuda. A Star-Gamuda Inspiration Award winner was chosen from the pool of ten recipients of the Star Golden Hearts Award 2018.
